Nike's SasQuatch Driver is easily recognizable with its intimidating over-sized square driver head...but does the hype and the size live up to expectations?
What Nike Says:
The new square shaped Nike SasQuatch SUMO 2 driver elevates Nike Golf and club design to revolutionary and radical new levels. Nike Golf has evolved the leading innovation of geometric design to bring any golfer even more distance, forgiveness and accuracy.

What Golfers Say:
Overall the reviews are pretty favorable for this new Nike driver, many point out the strange sound it makes when striking the ball, but as Nick from Edwin Watts golf points out...."weird shape, weird sound, but the ball definitely goes straighter....It got the ball up in the air faster than most drivers that I have hit and also stayed in the air longer. This obviously created a long and straighter shot. Off center hits, which I know I had some, found more of the short grass than other drivers that I had hit off center."
The Sumo 2 comes in lofts of 8.5, 9.5, 10.5 and lucky 13 all with a size of 460cc and the suggested MSRP is $479.99 USD which is definitely on the higher end scale of Golf Drivers on the market today.
The new square head and strange sound that comes from it are obviously very new to the golfing community and will take some time to get accustomed to...BUT it seems like Nike Golf has a winner with this new generation of drivers and if you get the opportunity to try one of these clubs than you should do so as it may be a nice addition to your arsenal.
