Callaway Golf has made a bold statement that the FT-i is the world's straightest driver. It has an oblong, square face. The company claims that its carbon composite body, unique shape, and weighting increase stability. In truth, we hear stuff like that from every golf manufacturer, but no club has been built up quite like this.

• Designed to be the world’s straightest driver, FT-i uses patented Fusion Technology that moves weight away from the Center of Gravity. The result is a driver with increased hor and vert stability that maximizes distance with total accuracy.
• 460cc titanium drivers have made amazing improvements in stability and MOI. However, the weight of titanium virtually eliminates discretionary weight distribution.
• Using materials significantly lighter than titanium creates discretionary mass that is distributed to the extreme perimeter, resulting in increased stability and longer, straighter bombs down the fairway.

Our feeling is that the Callaway FT-i driver is best suited to mid to high handicappers who have trouble getting their drives going straight and therefore need all this forgiveness.
